Aims

SABMiller, one of the world's largest brewers, is a company that believes in encouraging discussion on critical global issues.

Activity

It commissioned YouGovStone to run a series of events and research studies, examining different aspects of globalisation: ‘Where’s the power?’, ‘Are global brands a force for good?’, ‘Is development sustainable?’ and ‘Who will lead global economic recovery?’. Each event included a high profile debate at London’s Royal Society of Arts, supported by the research findings, with media partners including Marketing Week and The Independent newspaper.

Outputs

Around 1,000 'influentials' completed each of the four surveys and the results have been written up in reports. Panelists at the events have included Graham Mackay (Chief Executive, SABMiller), Sir Michael Rake (Chairman, BT Group), E. Neville Isdell (Chairman, The Coca Cola Company), and Lord Griffiths (Vice Chairman, Goldman Sachs).
