On May 5th 2010 YouGovStone held a panel discussion sponsored by KPMG to debate the issue of philanthropy. To support the event YouGovStone ran a survey amongst its panel of 4,000 influential people asking their views of the topic. For a précis of the results, please click here.

It was standing room only for the debate at KPMG’s London headquarters, chaired by publisher and broadcaster Andrew Neil. The panel, Lord Hastings, International Global Head of Citizenship & Diversity, KPMG; Michael Green, co-author “Philanthrocapitalism”; Charles Moore, Executive Director of the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy; Camila Batmanghelidjh, Founder & Chief Executive, Kids Company; and David Jones, Global Chief Executive Havas Worldwide and Co-Founder One Young World. Debate continued at a pace, as ideas of Corporate Social Responsibility, social enterprise and philanthropy were met, addressed and challenged.
